The Role:

The Co-pack position contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by efficiently operating and troubleshooting various pieces of production equipment in a safe manner. A strong focus on housekeeping and product quality is necessary for this role. You will be reporting to the production supervisors.

  • Wage: $25.60
  • Hours: 40 hrs/week
  • Shifts: Need to be capable of working day, afternoon, and night shift, while also open to working weekends. Shifts subject to change as business needs require

What you’ll be working on:

  • Operators run the line
  • Responsible for ensuring machine is running efficiently
  • Perform regular quality checks & production needs are met in timely manner
  • Heavy lifting required
  • Operating computer based machinery
  • Handling of stressful situations in a fast paced environment
  • Making quick decisions and being able to trouble-shoot problems as they arise
  • Employees are also required to be on their feet for long periods of time and to grip and grasp different objects such as boxes, bags of product and pallet boards.
Qualifications/Requirements
Who's a good fit for the team:
  • You have your High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Self-motivated, well organized, able to work well with others and under minimal or no supervision
  • Good general health, manual dexterity and fitness
  • Must possess high numeracy skills and record keeping ability
  • Must demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates good GMP knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Forklift experience is beneficial, but not a requirement
Successful applicants will be required to pass a background check which includes a criminal record check, a reference check, a general employment verification, and confirmation of high school (or equivalent credential) completion.

Physical demands and working conditions:
  • You can lift/carry 45-50lbs frequently for up to 8 – 10 hours a day
  • You can push/pull 50-250lbs
  • You have the physical ability to maneuver loaded hand carts over a variety of inclines and surfaces
  • You can perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting
  • You can perform frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level, and from the floor
  • You will be exposed to a variety of weather and temperature ranges, and you will safely operate the equipment during poor road and driving conditions
